Pozuzo

Pozuzo.

Pozuzo is one of the districts of the province of Oxapampa. The place offers scenic beauty with a multicultural heritage. It was founded in 1859 by settlers from Austria and Germany, and has cattle raising and agriculture as its main economic activities.

The valley of Pozuzo was already inhabited by indigenous peoples (amajes) and natives (amueshas or yaneshas) since very remote times in Peruvian history.
