GUÑOC TERMAL WATERS
These unique thermal baths at 4335 meters above sea level, very close to the Huayhuash mountain range and 9 hours from the city of Lima, leave their visitors an unforgettable memory. The place is obviously incredible with a spectacular setting since the Guñoc thermal baths are surrounded by several mountains and located between the snowcapped Pumarinri and Millpu mountains.
During the trek you will visit the San Antonio Mirador at 5000 meters high, which offers a spectacular view of the Huayhuash mountain range with the second highest mountain in Peru: the Sarapo in all its splendor with its 6347 meters high.
The starting point of this walk is the village of Cajatambo, and the initial ascent route can be done by car or donkey for a few kilometers, and then you have to follow the path by walking for several hours.
It is recommended to camp in the Quebrada de Guñoc to rest, and continue the tour early the next day. By walking a few more hours the next day, you will finally reach the thermal baths.
